Are you wanting to relax and have some tension released? Or do you want to get rid of those tight achy muscles? Maybe you are a sports enthusiast and you want to keep your muscles in prime condition, so you are always ready to give your best, whether it is a race, searching for your next PB or a rigorous training session.
For those whose body is tired and in need of a bit of pampering. This massage will target areas of the body which take a lot of the strain of daily life. The routine takes approximately one hour and includes the back, legs, feet, arms, hands, stomach, head, neck, chest and finishes with a soothing face massage. You can choose whether or not to have all the options included in the massage. For example, not everyone likes to have their stomach or feet touched. As this massage looks at the body as a whole, it is able to leave you soothed and relaxed with a general feeling of wellbeing. This is a perfect option to relax and unwind both physically and mentally.
This massage can be performed in 40, 60 or 90 minutes. The purpose of hot stones is to bring heat into the muscles allowing them to relax and release the tension and tightness, bringing the blood circulation into the area being treated, allowing the muscles to be repaired. It is incredibly soothing (if you don’t like heat then you probably would not agree and therefore this might not be the best choice for you) and has a great effect on both body and mind alike.
A perfect choice to relax and unwind after a stressful day or maybe even a week at work. It is also a great way of unlocking tight muscles in a gentler way than a deep tissue massage. So if you are a more sensitive person and struggle with a lot of pressure in a massage, then this could be the choice for you.
Now this choice of treatment is where I think it gets exciting! Not to take away from the previous two massage options, they are perfect in their own special way, BUT deep tissue has so much to offer. And I say this with a huge smile on my face because I personally know how much I have benefitted from having deep tissue massages. Whether I have used them to cope with my own back problems or whether I have used them to improve my gym and cycling performance abilities.
So if you are a sports enthusiast and you enjoy training hard or maybe you are entering competitions, have you ever considered having a massage to help your performance? Yes! A deep tissue massage really can do that. This is done by focusing on realigning deeper layers of muscles and cleaning out toxins such as lactic acid. It also helps to pump blood and lymphatic fluids around the body, increase ability to stretch by increasing tissue elasticity and relaxes the muscles. All of this will help your muscles to be in a better condition to work and perform.
The same goes for treating muscles problems in the back and shoulders. So if you are a desk worker, drive long hours or both then this is the best option for you. Over time, the lives we lead take a toll on our body and sometimes the ‘relaxing’ option just wont cut it. So next time you want the pain in your shoulders reduced or even taken away, then try a deep tissue massage.
You may not have even heard of this style of treatment, let alone be able to pronounce it, but believe me, it’s a brilliant way of working with the body! I’m still in love with Deep Tissue Massage and how that style helps the body, but since learning Myofascial Release, my understanding of the body and it’s different levels have been broadened. Let me give you a brief description of the Myofascial Release basics. As the Deep Tissue techniques affect the deeper muscles of the body, Myofacial Release has it’s effects on the facia, which is the connective tissue that runs from head to toe and is said to be the strength of the body. Why is this beneficial? Because this release is done by gentle, yet deep stretches, this massage is often very relaxing whilst reaching the maximum effects to relieve stress, pain and tension.
So why choose Myofascial Release over the others? Nearly every other massage technique, looks at treating the muscles, where as Myofascial Release treats the connective tissue which has a memory, meaning it can hold trauma. So by releaving the tension within the connective tissue, you can relieve the body of its stress and emtional burden. Your body feels lighter and freer. Also, as it runs throughout the whole of the body, one move on one section of the body, can have an effect in several other areas.
So next time you are thinking “is there anything that can get rid of this pain?”, don’t just go for your usual massage, try a different approach, try Myofascial Release.
Firstly, let me answer that burning question right now, yes it really works! Now that's out of the way, let me tell you a little bit about this massage (for full details, hit the button below).
So, yes this massage does work, and it is all done with hands, NO needles, not even acupuncture needles. Why is this important to know? Because it means there are no side affects whatsoever. The massage is performed using the therapists hands and fingertips. It includes many different styles of massage, including facial reflexology, helping not only to gain that youthful look, but also to help relax the body and mind. A very powerful tool to be able to use to help those struggling with day to day stresses fo life.
One of the big things about understanding how this massage works is that our muscles have memory. When we perform a certain action again and again, our muscles remember it. It is also the same for when a therapist works on your muscles. In this routine we are helping the muscles to remember to sit higher and firmer on the face. The effects of just one facial lift massage last for 3 days, but when you have this treatment regularly, the effects start to last longer, because the muscles remember what you want them to do. Pretty sweet hey?
So, although you can have this as a one off treatment, for the best results its recommended to have regular treatments, starting off close together and then stretching them further apart, until you can then book for what's called 'maintenance' which basically means to keep topping up.

Being pregnant is probably one of the most exciting times in your life, and yet it can also be one of the most tiring times too.
As baby grows, your body grows and has to adapt and make space. This can lead to tired muscles, cramping, aches and pains. Not really anyones idea of fun! So, having a massage while pregnant can definitely help to reduce the tiredness in the muscles, relieve the stress on the body and help you to relax.
When baby is born, that much needed 'me time' will disappear into the background for a while, so take advantage of the massages now. Not only will this help you, but it will also help baby. When you are relaxed, your body produces 'happy hormones' and these travel to baby and help them relax also, so it really is a win win for both you and your baby.
